Universal Snags Dungeon Crawler Carl Rights, MacFarlane and Thor Writer Attached
You barely earned this news, you loot-gobbling worm. Universal International Studios and Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door grabbed the rights to Matt Dinniman's *Dungeon Crawler Carl*, with Chris Yost, who wrote *Thor: Ragnarok* and *The Mandalorian*, set to adapt it. One writer who actually works. Don't get excited. Check our piece on Jeff Hays being cast as Princess Donut at SDCC if you need real casting news.
Dungeon Crawler Carl TV Scripts Exist and Author Has Read Them
Achievement Unlocked: You Read a TV Update Without Drooling on Your Keyboard. Barely. Author Matt Dinniman has read the first few scripts for the Dungeon Crawler Carl TV series at Universal International Studios and Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions, announced August 2024. For those still drooling, we also have the Glurp Glurp Motherfucker Finale Drops piece. The show is alive. Your hype is the only thing dying here.
Dungeon Crawler Carl Crawls to Peacock With MacFarlane and Yost
ACHIEVEMENT: You Have Crawled Into Peacock's Development Slush Pile. Barely earned because every studio in town already read this book. The live-action *Dungeon Crawler Carl* TV series is officially in development at Peacock from Seth MacFarlane and Chris Yost. Universal International Studios originally acquired the rights in early 2025. Meanwhile, our SDCC announcement that Jeff Hays will voice Princess Donut proves the show at least has one good casting decision. You're welcome.
