Our Take
If you told a crawler on Floor 1 that Carl's most famous piece of gear would one day become a dice set sold by a real-world game studio, they would have laughed, then died in a trap. That is exactly what is happening. According to Wayland Games, Renegade Game Studios is releasing Carl's Enchanted BigBoi Boxers Dice Set this November alongside the Dungeon Crawler Carl tabletop RPG, and the irony is so thick it could block a Krakaren clone's ink spray. This follows the chaos of NYCC Attendees Chase $2,000 Carl Comics in Free Giveaway and the physical loot displayed in A Loot Box Preview: Dungeon Crawler Carl Toys at NYCC, which means the franchise has officially moved from "books people read" to "things people can touch, roll, and possibly lose under a couch."
The set itself is seven pearlescent white acrylic dice with red detailing, priced at $25, and includes a poker-chip-style two-sided die. It recreates the boxers Carl received after defeating the Krakaren clone on Floor 2, the same pair that gave him a +2 Constitution boost and a protective shell spell that saved his life when Jack decided to urinate on a wall. That is the item. That is the lore. And now it is a product you can preorder. The practical takeaway for anyone reading this: the dice are fully compatible with any tabletop RPG, not just the Dungeon Crawler Carl system, so you can use them to roll perception checks in another game while muttering about how your character is also barefoot and angry. The Starter Set covers the first two floors with premade Carl and Donut options, maps, and an introductory adventure, while the Core Rulebook promises to expand into later floors. This means you will finally get to experience the dungeon without the risk of an AI calling you a moron personally, though I suspect the rulebook will try.
What matters most here is that the RPG is the first gaming adaptation of this universe, and it arrives in November 2026. That is a firm timer. The dice set arrives at the same time, which means fans who preorder will have the correct equipment before they even open the box. The question nobody is asking yet: will the dice come with a cardboard replica of the boxers themselves, or will we have to settle for the knowledge that somewhere, a pair of enchanted underwear exists in dice form, and we are all poorer for not having the real ones? Either way, the loot drop is scheduled. Mark your calendars, crawlers. The collapse timer has begun.
