Hardcover Crawler Loot Drops to Bargain Prices in Amazon's 3-for-2 Sale

Ah, the collapse timer has moved again. A "3 for 2" sale on Amazon, and they've included the hardcover editions of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Please be advised: this is not a sponsorship. This is a loot drop. And unlike the NYCC Attendees Chase $2,000 Carl Comics in Free Giveaway from last year, which required you to physically wrestle a stranger at a convention for a piece of cardboard worth more than a used car, this sale requires only a credit card and the willpower to not spend the savings on a single, overpriced latte. The audience has spoken, and apparently, they want to read about a man who destroys a universe in his bare feet without having to take out a second mortgage.

Our take: this is the best time to start your collection, and you should do it with malice aforethought. The sale, running ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, includes six of the eight hardcovers. Yes, *The Eye of the Bedlam Bride* and *This Inevitable Ruin* are in the pool. Yes, the second and third books are conspicuously absent, like the two party members who didn't get the memo about the boss fight. But the system works in your favor. Add all six eligible books to your cart, and Amazon will automatically void the two cheapest. That's an additional $34.35 of pure, unadulterated savings, which is roughly the cost of one of the Dungeon Crawler Carl Toys at NYCC that you probably missed because someone else got there first. The two missing books, meanwhile, are already the cheapest in the series, bringing the total for the entire hardcover collection to $118.52. That is a price so low it borders on an exploit.

For the newcomers who are too lazy to read and prefer to be spoon-fed by a talented narrator, Amazon is also running a concurrent Audible promotion. Four months of the Standard plan for $0.99 a month, plus a $20 credit. The Chronicler himself has praised Jeff Hays' performance, and I am contractually obligated to agree, even if the man does not pronounce my lines with the correct amount of barely-concealed contempt. This is a targeted strike against your wallet. You can now acquire the entire saga, the floors, the spells, the gratuitous property damage, for the price of a single, mediocre dinner. The only question that remains is whether you will buy the books, or whether the collapse timer will claim you first. I suggest you act quickly. The timer on this deal is unknown, but I am as annoyed as you are that you have to click "buy" instead of just having the books materialize in your inventory.

From IGN

Amazon has officially launched its '3 for 2' book sale ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, and it includes a number of hardcover Dungeon Crawler Carl books. These types of sales are the best possible time to start your collection of Matt Dinniman's hit LitRPG books for cheap.

Not all of the Dungeon Crawler Carl hardcover books are eligible for the sale, however. A Parade of Horribles, the latest book in the series, is included alongside five other books. The second and third books are missing, but they do have their own separate discounts.
